Brandon S. Sims

Brandon Sims, a native Houstonian, is a graduate of Strake Jesuit and the University of Texas at Austin.  He received his law degree from South Texas College of Law in 2006.  Upon being admitted to the State Bar of Texas he became a Prosecutor at the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office where he began his legal career prosecuting misdemeanor cases in the county courts of Galveston County.  After demonstrating his ability to win jury trials, he was promoted to the felony division of the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office in less than a year.  Over the next five years he was assigned to several district courts where he prosecuted a broad range of criminal offenses which included Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Felony Assault Causing Bodily Injury-Family Violence, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Robbery, Aggravated Robbery, Sexual Assault, Aggravated Sexual Assault, Felony Theft, Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and Felony DWI. 

Brandon joined Tad Nelson and Associates in May of 2013 and is able to aggressively defend any individual accused of criminal wrongdoing by the government.  His experience as a prosecutor gives him the ability to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the government’s criminal accusations against his clients. He is a skilled negotiator and trial lawyer that is passionate about defending the accused.

Brandon currently resides in Midtown with his wife and their French Bulldog "Chief."
